In a massive setback to Harmanpreet Kaur's Team India, their star wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against Australia and Women's World Cup 2025. The BCCI has announced a change to the Indian women's cricket squad after wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia was ruled out of both the upcoming ODI series against Australia and the ICC Women's World Cup 2025. Bhatia, who sustained a knee injury during the team's preparatory camp in Visakhapatnam, will be replaced by uncapped Assam cricketer Uma Chetry. The two major tournaments are set to begin later this month.

“Yastika Bhatia sustained an injury to her left knee during India’s preparatory camp in Vizag. The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring Yastika Bhatia’s progress and the team wishes Yastika Bhatia a speedy recovery,” the BCCI said in a statement.
