Jemimah Rodrigues misses out from India's playing XI vs England.

England opted to bowl against India.

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt won the toss and opted to bat against India in the 20th match of the Women's ODI World Cup 2025 at Holkar Stadium in Indore. Hosts India will look to shift the momentum of the game as they are coming after losing their two consecutive clashes, and on the other hand, England's last clash against South Africa was called off due to rain. If India loses this clash, then their upcoming clash against New Zealand will be a do-or-die for the Harmanpreet-led side.

England are featuring with two changes and on the other hand, India's Jemimah Rodrigues will miss the clash and Renuka is included in the playing XI.

When it comes to World Cup clashes, England also leads with 8 wins to India’s 4. But things have changed recently. Captains at the toss

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur: We were looking to bowl first and glad to get that. Jemi is not playing today and Renuka is playing. She has a great record against England and that was the biggest reason we wanted her back in the side. Even though we lost, we played really good cricket and that is something which will give us confidence.

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt: We would like to have a bat. We would like to most of the fresh pitch. We have Ecclestone and Bell back in the side. They are ready to go. We will be looking for some big partnerships today. We have seen a lot of noise with the Indian fans and hope everyone is ready. We know we have three tough games left and hopefully we can get the win today.
