When it comes to six-hitters in modern-day cricket, players like Rohit Sharma, Ben Stokes and Rishabh Pant come to mind automatically. There are a handful of players who have been able to translate their explosive white-ball batting template into Test cricket. Ahead of the big-ticket finale, let's take a look at the list of batters with the most sixes during the WTC 2021-23 cycle.

1. Ben Stokes (England): 28 sixes in 18 matches
2. Rishabh Pant (India): 22 sixes in 12 matches
3. Daryl Mitchell (New Zealand): 20 sixes in 11 matches
4. Jonny Bairstow (England): 19 sixes in 15 matches
5. Axar Patel (India): 16 sixes in 9 matches
6. Dinesh Chandimal (Sri Lanka): 15 sixes in 10 matches
7. Travis Head (Australia): 15 sixes in 17 matches
8. Shreyas Iyer (India): 14 sixes in 10 matches
9: Abdullah Shafique (Pakistan): 14 sixes in 12 matches
10: Angelo Matthews (Sri Lanka): 13 sixes in 12 matches

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma is in 15th place on this list with 10 sixes in 10 matches. Opening batter Shubman Gill is in 18th place with eight sixes in seven matches.

Two of the top-ranked teams - India and Australia - will square off in the second edition of the World Test Championship final at a neutral venue, making the contest even more compelling. It will be for the first time in two decades that India and Australia will lock horns in an ICC tournament final. The last time these two sides locked horns in an ICC final was in 2003 when Australia defeated India in the ODI World Cup final. The 2023 WTC final will be played between June 7 and June 11 at The Oval, London.

India finished runners-up in the last edition of WTC as they lost the final against New Zealand. This time, Rohit Sharma's brigade would look to cross the final hurdle and bring an end to their ICC trophy drought.
