Iyer has been taken to the hospital for further assessment

India vice-captain Shreyas Iyer had to leave the field midway during the third ODI against Australia after he sustained an injury while completing a brilliant catch that brought Alex Carey's innings to an end. The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 34th over that was bowled by Harshit Rana. Carey tried to play a big shot and tried to go over mid-off/extra cover, but ended up slicing the delivery a long way up in the air. Shreyas ran back from backward point and timed his jump to perfection, ensuring that the visitors get rid of Carey.
