Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is having a hard time in Australia. For the third Test at The Gabba, Brisbane, Rohit replaced Harshit Rana with Akash Deep but the latter remained wicketless on entire Day 2's play. On Day 3, Rohit lost his cool at Deep as he sprayed one way outside the popping crease and Rishabh Pant had to put in a full-length dive to stop a boundary.
'Abbe sar mein kuch hai?' Rohit asked Deep in a sarcastic tone as the bowler walked back to the start of his run-up.
The commentators had a laugh as Rohit's voice was heard on stump mic.
The incident took place in the 114th over of Australia's innings. India conceded two wides off Deep's misdirected delivery. Deep's first wicket on Australian soil came a few overs later. Carey played a pull shot but Shubman Gill moved from mid-wicket to take the catch. The wicketkeeper-batter departed after scoring 70 runs from 88 balls and took Australia's score to 445.
Deep toiled hard in the middle and was unlucky at times not to get a wicket. He bowled a total of 29.5 overs including five maidens and conceded 95 runs.
Earlier, Rohit made two changes in the lineup.Apart from Deep, the other change was Ravindra Jadeja replacing Ravichandran Ashwin. The left-arm spinner was not effective despite ample bounce on offer and hint of turn towards the end of Day 2. The veteran spinner remained wicketless and conceded 95 runs from 23 overs including two maidens.
