Australia skipper Pat Cummins reckons that India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant could be 'dangerous' for them if he gets his rhythm in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 20024-25 which is scheduled to start from November 22.
Since his comeback in Test cricket, Pant is currently in the form of his life he smashed 422 runs from five matches at an average of 46.88 and a strike rate of 86.47 with one hundred and three fifties. Cummins said that Australia will make a plan to dismiss Pant early.
"Yeah, he is someone who always moves the game on pretty quickly, so for some of the players, you have to have some sound plans, too. He's played well, he had a good series out here in Australia next time. So yeah, we know he can be dangerous when he gets going, so [we'll] try and have some good plans and hope they come off" Pat Cummins told HT.
Pant has a remarkable record in Australia, with an impressive average of 62.40 from 12 innings, accumulating 624 runs, including one century and two scores over 80. The star cricketer will be keen to continue his dominance with the bat and play a key role in helping India secure their third consecutive series win Down Under.
