Highlights:

The electrifying season of IPL 2024 will begin on March 22 with a match between RCB and CSK.

RCB have never won any IPL title but finished as runners-up three times.

The stage is set for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 which is scheduled to kick off from March 22 with a thrilling match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

 

Faf du Plessis led-RCB’s second match will be played against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on March 25 in Bengaluru, followed by a clash with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 29 in Bengaluru. Their fourth match will be against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 2 in Bengaluru. RCB team will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 6 in Jaipur in their final match of the initial phase of IPL 2024.

 

Here is the complete squad list of the RCB, along with the players acquired during the auction. The franchise's squad comprises 25 players, including 8 overseas players.

Talking about the RCB’s track record, the Bengaluru-based franchise stands as one of the teams that have never clinched an IPL trophy. However, they were the runners-up in 2019, 2011, and 2016.

 

Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli served as the captain of the RCB team for a long tenure. Du Plessis succeeded him in 2022.
