In 2019, Rohit Sharma made a comeback to the Indian Test team in a home series against South Africa. Everyone knows that Rohit Sharma often forgets things, even people's names and places. This habit turned into a humorous moment during a match against New Zealand in 2021 when, at the toss, he forgot whether to choose batting or bowling. After winning the toss, it took him 10 seconds to remember the decision he had made with his team.

"I forgot what we wanted to do, had plenty of discussions with the team about the toss decision," Rohit had said while scratching his head.

Rohit says, 'sala mat bolo'

In the third Test against South Africa, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane had a partnership of 267 runs. After the day's play, during the press conference, a journalist asked about Rahane's form using the phrase, “sala chabuk batting karta hai.” Hearing this, Rohit laughed and quickly responded, “saala mat bolo yaar usko‘ (Don’t call him saala). He then tried to control his laughter as the press conference continued.

Rohit responds to Dhoni's birthday plans

During a press conference, a journalist asked Rohit Sharma about MS Dhoni's birthday plans, to which the Hitman came up with a funny reply.

“Birthday mein kya bola jaata hai? Happy birthday?” (What do you tell someone on their birthday? Happy birthday only right?),” Rohit had said.

“We have our travel day tomorrow and we don’t know if we are going to Manchester or Birmingham. Accordingly, we will cut the cake during the bus drive. We will send you the photos,” he added.

Once, when asked about flexibility within the team, Rohit Sharma discussed the topic and said, 'Ye paagalpanti nai karte hum".
