Harry Brook's smashing century in the 19th match of the ongoing 16th Indian Premier League (IPL) season ensured that the enthralling season of exciting matches continued as the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat the Kolkata Knight Riders and (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday.
In what was a run-fest, SRH scored a mammoth 228 runs batting first on the strength of Harry Brook's blistering century. In response, KKR could only manage 205 runs for the loss of seven wickets and had to face a 23-run defeat. With their second victory on the trot, Hyderabad now moved up the ladder on the points table, while KKR suffered a hit in the Net Run Rate (NRR).
Hyderabad move up two spots
Before the match against KKR, SRH were in 9th position on the points table and had an NRR of -1.502 with one win and two points in three matches. After their win over KKR, his team has now moved up two spots to seventh with an NRR of -0.822. While KKR have not moved positions and remain on fourth. However, their Net Run Rate before this match was 1.375, and now, it is fallen to 0.711.

4. Kolkata Knight Riders: The two-time champions lost their second match against the Sunriders Hyderabad victory on Friday. In four matches played, KKR have four points on the back of two wins. They are in the fourth spot with an NRR of 0.711.
5. Chennai Super Kings: The Men in Yellow are in fifth place in the standings after losing two and winning two matches to begin their season. They have an NRR of 0.225.
6. Punjab Kings: Shikhar Dhawan's side is in sixth place on the points table with two wins in four matches played. The franchise has four points with an NRR of -0.226.
7. Sunrisers Hyderabad: The Orange Army surged to the seventh stop after their win on Friday. They have four points with an NRR of -0.822.
8. Royal Challengers Bangalore: After winning their opening game of the season, the Red Army has lost back-to-back matches and have now slipped to eighth place on the points table with an NRR of -0.800 after SRH's win.
9. Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma's men started their campaign with successive defeats but finally opened their account in the wins column. They have an NRR of -0.879 with two points in three matches.
10. Delhi Capitals: David Warner's team is at the bottom of the points table with four losses in as many games. They have an NRR of -1.576.
