The previous best bowling figures by a CSK spinner against MI belonged to Ravindra Jadeja. The left-arm orthodox spinner took three wickets for 20 runs at Wankhede Stadium in IPL 2023.

Noor Ahmad's bowling figures against CSK is the fourth-best by a spinner. Interestingly, Rohit Sharma owns the record for best bowling figures by a spinner against Mumbai Indians. Representing now-defunct Deccan Chargers, he bagged four wickets for just 6 runs in IPL 2009.
Noor Ahmad's 4/18 is the seventh best bowling figures for a CSK spinner in IPL history. Only two spinners have taken a fifer for CSK -- Ravindra Jadeja and Pawan Negi. Interestingly, both are left-arm spinners.
