Former Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Kane Williamson questioned Pat Cummins's strategy after the team's third consecutive loss in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated SRH by 80 runs in the fourth outing of the cash-rich league.

Williamson reckons that SRH may be tempted to make a few changes in their approach after their flop show in the mega event. SRH, who has a destructive batting lineup, failed to score runs against KKR. Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan were dismissed within the third over as SRH fell behind in the chase against KKR and succumbed to the loss in the end.

Williamson felt that teams have started to come prepared when they're going up against SRH this season after their success last edition of the tournament. The former SRH star felt that the wicket didn't suit SRH's aggressive approach on the day.

"I think after the success they had last year, teams have come really prepared this season and we've seen some of the planning that's gone into beating the Sunrisers and tonight on a surface that, we would say didn't perhaps suit SRH again," said Williamson.

Williamson lauds the KKR bowling unit for their impressive performance and suggested SRH that after losing three games the last edition's finalists may make a few adjustments, and things could turn around quickly for them.

"KKR was extremely clinical and brought their spinners into the game as they wanted. I suppose after three games of some similar lessons, they'll want to try and make some small adjustments and things can change quickly," said Williamson.

SRH have played four matches in the IPL 2025 where they managed to register a single win during their tournament's opener clash. The IPL 2024 runners-up are currently on 10th in the points table tally. SRH will face Gujarat Titans (GT) in their upcoming clash of the tournament which will take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
