Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has issued a warning to the five-time IPL Champions ahead of their key clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Big task for Chennai Super Kings

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans are also remain in the race with 12 points. On the other hand, CSK sit sixth with 10 points in hand after 10 games have a big task to complete to reach the playoffs.

Reacting on the current scenario, Ravi Ashwin claimed that SRH and RCB are sure shot to reach the  playoffs, while saying that two other spots will be determined between GT, RR and PBKS.

“SRH and RCB are confirmed. Between GT, RR and PBKS, the other two playoff spots will be decided,” said Ashwin on his YouTube Channel.

While reflecting on CSK's chances, the former all-rounder stated that the Yellow Army must win their all four-remaining games, as even reaching 16 points may not guarantee qualification. He added that CSK's hopes will also depend on RR losing three of their last four matches and PBKS dropping crucial points.

“For CSK to qualify, they must win all four remaining matches. They can’t leave it to chance. Even with 16 points, qualification will depend on RR losing three out of four, PBKS dropping points and CSK maintaining a strong NRR,” added Ashwin.
