Gujarat Titans (GT) have reached the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where they will meet Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The Shubman Gill-led side secured an easy seven-wicket win over Riyan Parag's Rajasthan Royals (RR) while chasing 215 in the Qualifier 2 fixture on Friday, May 29 at the New PCA Stadium in Mullanpur.
GT's star opener Sai Sudharsan played a key role in the win, by continuing his dream run in the ongoing season. The left-handed opener hit 58 runs off just 32 balls. Sadly, he lost his wicket after getting hit-wicket off Brijesh Sharma's bowling in the 13th over. Notably, he got out in the same manner in the previous clash as well.

Sai Sudharsan reflects on repeated hit-wicket dismissals
It's very rare to see a batter getting out because of hit-wicket on two successive instances. The mode of dismissal has created a serious doubt on Sai's technique. Reacting on the same, Sudharsan has said that he would try some grip tech to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
"I think I should try some things. I'm going to try some grip tech now and just bat a few balls and see how it is. (How does it happen twice in two games?) Seriously. In the last game, it just bounced a few times and hit the stumps. But this game, I just wanted it to hit straight, I think," said Sudharsan at the post-match presentation.
