IPL 2025 Purple Cap Standings: Another CSK bowler enters race with wickets of DC youngsters

Noor Ahmad holds the top spot with 10 wickets.

Mohammed Siraj has a chance to enter the top 10 wicket-takers' list.

Khaleel Ahmed struck in the first over of the innings again.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed climbed up in the purple cap race with two wickets against Delhi Capitals (DC) in losing cause on April 6. While Ahmed jumped to the third spot, CSK left-arm chinaman bowler Noor Ahmad got one wicket in a forgettable outing and still has the purple cap. DC's Mitchell Starc was economical and went up to the second place with CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad's wicket.

There were no more changes in the top 10 wicket-takers list despite a double header. No bowler from the second clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) made it into top 10. However, PBKS' Arshdeep Singh and RR's Wanindu Hasaranga took one wicket each to take 12th and 13th spot.

On April 6, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) at home. Only one GT bowler is currently in top 10. Left-arm spinner Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore who has six wickets from three games can move up the list. Mohammed Siraj can enter the purple race as well if he gets a few wickets. Currently, he is the 16th spot.

An under-pressure SRH have only one bowler in top 20 wicket-takers list. Pacer Harshal Patel and leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari have four wickets each. They have a chance to move into top 10 as well.

SRH are currently at the bottom of the points table with three losses from four games and an inferior net run rate (NRR) to CSK and Mumbai Indians (MI). Meanwhile, GT are in the third place with two wins from three games.
