Axar Patel backs David Miller

On Thursday, Delhi Capitals shared a video clip where Axar Patel can be seen urging the players to move on from the defeat with a smile, saying the tournament is very long.

"At the start of this season, I told you (all) to control emotions and stay calm in any situation. We are all sad, feeling sad, but we can still smile, it's okay. All are, you know, sad, feeling sad. We can still smile, it's okay. It is a long tournament," said Axar Patel.

Later in the video, Axar reminds everyone that it was David Miller's extraordinary knock of unbeaten 40 runs off 20 balls which kept the game within DC's reach till the last over. The left-arm spin all-rounder urged to focus on the next challenge as they gear up to face the Chennai Super Kings.

If he (Miller) didn't hit those sixes, then you know that we would not have been in the game. We'll go [to] Chennai and start again. Keep smiling," concluded Axar Patel.

Next challenge for Delhi Capitals

Other than Millers' fantastic unbeaten 41 off 20 at the end of the innings, star opener KL Rahul gave an outstanding start to DC with his amazing 92 runs off 52 balls. Eventually, the hosts finished at 209/8 while chasing 211. Delhi Capitals will lock horns with  Chennai Super Kings in their IPL clash on Saturday.
