Punjab Kings (PBKS) owner Preity Zinta and opener Priyansh Arya have won fans' hearts after the duo recently contacted an elderly fan who got hit by Arya's six in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 game against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
The fan was struck on the face, and a video showing him bleeding heavily quickly went viral, sparking concern among fans and the cricketing community. Fortunately, bystanders rushed to his aid immediately, offering assistance during the distressing moment.
Now, a clip of Zinta and Arya talking to the fan, asking about his well-being, is making rounds on the internet. In the video, Zinta can also be heard inviting the fan to PBKS' next game in Dharamsala.
Preity Zinta's invitation and Priyansh Arya's concern
Zinta and Arya did a joint video call with the fan named Kishan Chand, where on the call, Arya could be heard saying that he was stressed about the fan's condition as he was bleeding heavily, so much so that the blood flowed through his face, staining his shirt, making things look not good at first glance.
"I saw the video, and I was a bit tense about your condition," Arya said. "I was also worried," Zinta added.
"I'm doing well with your blessing," Kishan Chand replied.
Arya further invited Kishan Chand to Dharamsala and promised to meet him whenever he is in Chandigarh.
"Come to Dharamsala and I'll meet you when I'm in Chandigarh," Arya said. "We would love to invite you to Dharamsala, and this time we'll make you wear a helmet so that you'll be safe and secure if a ball comes towards you," Zinta added.
Preity Zinta further asked the fan about his eye as the ball had almost hit his eye, but the fan confirmed that there were stitches near the eye, but the eye was safe.
"It was a pleasure talking to you. I'm glad that you are doing fine, and we'll be waiting for you at Dharamsala," Zinta concluded.
In a league driven by fierce competition, gestures like these remind everyone that cricket’s true spirit lies beyond the boundary ropes.
