Dube sends strong warning, promises turnaround ahead of clash with Delhi Capitals.

CSK remain winless after three games despite Dube’s impactful performances.

The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings have kicked off to a poor start in IPL 2026, failing to secure a single win in their first three matches. Ahead of their match against Delhi Capitals on April 11 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai's star all-rounder Shivam Dube has issued a warning to all teams, saying that the Yellow Army will make a strong comeback in the competition.

Shivam Dube vows to make strong comeback

During an event, Shivam Dube opened up on CSK's rich legacy and promised to comeback in a strong fashion after the first three underwhelming outings.

"Yeah, we lost 3 matches, but in the past we have won more than 3 matches in a row, So you will see the bounce back," star all-rounder said.

CSK's poor performances

CSK have failed to perform as per the expectations set by them, picking up losses against Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians, before suffering a massive loss by 43 runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Shivam Dube's IPl 2026 campaign so far

Shivam Dube is coming after playing a key role in India's ICC T20 World Cup 2026 triumph, but he hasn't made a big impact for CSK so far, amassing a total of 69 runs in three games at an average of 34.50 and maintained a strike rate of 156.82.

Although, the southpaw had played an impactful innings of 45 runs off 27 balls helping CSK post 209/5 against Punjab Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Dewald Brevis' return date confirmed

Head coach Stephen Fleming recently provided an optimistic update on the Dewald Brevis' rehabilitation, noting that Brevis is progressing ahead of schedule. After being retained for Rs 2.20 crore following a stellar 2025 campaign—where he maintained a blistering strike rate of 180—his return is highly anticipated. Recent footage of Brevis participating in high-intensity warm-up drills suggests he is physically ready to reclaim his spot in the playing XI, likely for the April 11 clash.

Brevis himself fueled the excitement during a recent promotional event in Chennai. Appearing alongside teammates Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, and Ayush Mhatre, the 22-year-old sent a direct message to the Yellow Army. When asked about his status, he confidently told fans, "See you guys on the 11th... every match, everywhere we play," effectively confirming his availability for the match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
