Tim David fined and handed demerit points by IPL

According to an official IPL statement, Tim David has been fined 30 percent of his match fee for breaching the league’s code of conduct.

The Australian batter was found guilty of “using a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting” during the match against MI on May 10 in Raipur.

Apart from the monetary penalty, David was also handed two demerit points for the Level 1 offence. The statement further revealed that the RCB batter accepted the punishment imposed by match referee Amit Sharma.
