Gujarat Titans (GT) will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the final game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season on May 31, Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It is going to be a stellar game as both teams will look to give their best to win the title.
However, the venue where the final will be played is GT's home as well, so the Shubman Gill-led side is going to have a slight upper hand over the Rajat Patidar's RCB. But, former India opener Virender Sehwag believes that the final between RCB and GT is going to be a 50-50 game.

In an interaction with Cricbuzz, Sehwag claimed that the final showdown will be a competitive one despite GT playing at their home venue, as the BCCI will take care of the pitch selection and preparation and GT won't have a say in those things.
“The kind of cricket that RCB are playing and have been playing has been quite exceptional. According to me, it’s a straight 50-50. This is GT’s home ground, but because it is a final, they cannot make any pitch that they want, so they would not get that advantage," said Virender Sehwag.
“Since it is a final, it will be BCCI that will prepare the wicket, so it is a level playing field. GT will have to play the kind of cricket they did in Qualifier 2 to get the better of RCB in the final," added Sehwag.
