Punjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder Raj Bawa produced one of the finest catches of IPL 2026 during the ongoing clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on Thursday, May 14. The youngster grabbed a sensational blinder to dismiss Suryansh Shedge before hyping up the home crowd with an animated celebration.
The moment came during the 14th over of Punjab’s innings when Shedge attempted to flick a Shardul Thakur delivery through the mid-wicket region. The shot looked perfectly timed and destined for the boundary, but Bawa had other plans.

Stationed at mid-wicket, Bawa reacted brilliantly as he dived sharply to his left and completed a stunning low catch almost parallel to the ground. The youngster also showed excellent presence of mind while rolling over after completing the grab to ensure the ball remained secure in his hands.
As soon as the catch was confirmed, Bawa erupted in celebration and pumped up the Dharamshala crowd, which responded with loud cheers after witnessing the spectacular effort.
Interestingly, the all-rounder had already made an impact earlier with the ball after dismissing Cooper Connolly in his previous over. However, his athletic effort in the field quickly became one of the standout moments of the contest.

At the time of writing, Tilak Varma and Sherfane Rutherford were at the crease trying to rebuild the innings and keep Mumbai’s chase alive.
