Sudharsan and Shubman Gill put together a commanding 128-run stand for the opening wicket against RCB. While Sudharsan took on the role of the primary aggressor, Gill provided a more measured approach, acting as a steady partner to ensure the team maintained a consistent scoring rate.
This partnership was not just effective for the match but also a historic one. The duo now boasts the third-most century partnerships in IPL history. Furthermore, they hold the unique distinction of being the first opening pair from a franchise other than RCB to record eight 100+ run stands in the history of the tournament.
After losing Gill at 34, GT rode on Jason Holder's quickfire 10-ball 23 to post a big total of 205/3.
