South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch who was picked by Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) as a replacement player for the injured Lizaad Williams ahead of the upcoming season of the tournament has been served with a legal notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The all-rounder was served with a legal notice for the breach of contractual obligation by the Pakistan Cricket Board, after withdrawal from the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
After getting picked by five time IPL champions MI, Bosch withdrew from PSL where he was supposed to play for Peshawar Zalmi.
"The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments," the Pakistan Cricket Board stated in a release on Sunday.
"The PCB management has also outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league and expects his response within the stipulated time frame. The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter."
The upcoming edition of the PSL is scheduled to start from April 11 and final will take place on May 25. On the other hand, IPL 2025 is scheduled to start from March 22 and the finale will take place on May 25.
The 30-year-old all-rounder made his international debut during an ODI match against Pakistan in December 2022. He played two ODIs, where he picked up two wickets and scored 55 runs. He is yet to debut in PSL and IPL.
