Indian star Karun Nair is currently in the form of his life. He scored 863 runs in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 that helped Vidarbha to win the title. Nair is confident about his India comeback after his dominating performance in the domestic cricket.
Nair was a vital cog for Vidarbha during the 50-over Vijay Hazare Trophy. He smashed 779 runs in nine games, including five centuries and one fifty, at an average of 389.50 and carried the momentum into red-ball cricket.
In the exclusive conversation with Sports Tak, Nair is confident that he will again get a chance to represent India again considering his performance in the domestic cricket.
"There's a motivation to get the opportunity and, you know, do everything that you can to get there. But, you know, all I can do is score runs with the bat and everything else is not in my hands. So, for now, it's the IPL. Just prepare well for myself and for the team and in whatever position or role that I'm given and try and contribute, like I said, to win a title, win games for the team. So, everything else will take care of itself and when the time comes, we'll know" Karun Nair told Sports Tak.

Nair also wants to carry his spectacular form into the upcoming IPL season and help Delhi Capitals win their maiden title. The star batter lauds DC's selection of squad for the upcoming season of the tournament.
"Yeah, I think for myself, it is too premature to say what role I'll be playing and, you know, but we've built a great squad this time and now everyone looks in great touch and, you know, looking forward to getting to know everyone a lot better and playing alongside them and really excited to share the dressing room with a lot of these guys" Nair also said.
DC will start their Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24 at ACA International Cricket Stadium - Visakhapatnam.
