Mumbai Indians (MI) are playing against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash, which is being played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Batting first MI managed to post only 147/8 at the end of 20 overs. 

Deepak Chahar takes a dig at "chit" celebration

Winning the toss, KKR skipper invited MI to bat first in a tricky Eden Gardens pitch. KKR bowlers delivered a collective effort to restrict MI at 147/8, with Sunil Narine, Kartik Tyagi and Cameron Green claiming two wickets each. MI's bowling all-rounder Corbin Bosch turned out to be the top-scorer with 32 runs off 18 balls, including three fours and two sixes.

In the second innings, Deepak Chahar took a dig at the newly popular "chit" celebration after dismissing Finn Allen and celebrated the wicket by pulling out an imaginary chit from his pocket, mocking the trend. Chahar edged Allen while he was trying to play it on the off-side, with the ball hitting the stumps.
