Peshawar Zalmi have gotten off to a poor start in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. The Babar Azam-led side has lost two consecutive matches early in the season. As Peshawar Zalmi bowlers struggle to control the flow of boundaries, the franchise’s PSL 2017 final hero Mohammad Asghar wrote an emotional post on X. Asghar wants the franchise to give him a chance again and claims that he can win matches single-handedly for them. He posted a video where he dismissed former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson.
Asghar’s tweet after Peshawar Zalmi’s second consecutive loss -
“Peshawar zalmi believe me you guys Need me I will win single handed matches for this franchise THE HORSE IS HERE when you lose I am very sad for this franchise (sad emoji) I won one trophy for this franchise”.
