Virat Kohli's slap threat to Kuldeep Yadav leaves Rohit Sharma in stitches as ace spinner's kiddish appeal sparks comic drama in 3rd ODI vs SA

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma share lighthearted moment after Kuldeep Yadav’s bizarre appeal sparked laughter all round during the third ODI between India and South Africa in Vizag on December 6.

Virat Kohli mimics slap, Rohit Sharma bursts out laughing at Kuldeep Yadav’s odd appeal

Proteas got off to a brilliant start, anchored by Quinton de Kock's century, despite losing an early wicket. South Africa appeared to be cruising toward a big total, but the introduction of Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav completely turned the course of the game. South Africa, who were comfortably placed at 168/2 at one point, dramatically collapsed, losing six wickets for just 84 runs. Kuldeep Yadav was the star bowler for India, claiming four wickets in his 10 overs.

The left-arm spinner's desire to quickly wrap up the innings led to a hilarious on-field moment involving former captains Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Specifically, on the third ball of the 41st over, Keshav Maharaj played an inside edge that struck his foot. Wicketkeeper KL Rahul appeared confident, suggesting he had taken a miraculous catch off Maharaj’s boot, prompting the umpires to go upstairs. Replays, however, showed that the ball had rolled onto the ground, causing the entire stadium to erupt in laughter over KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav's confident appeal. The camera then panned to Virat and Rohit , who were equally stunned. Virat, seated calmly on the ground, hilariously gestured a threat to slap Kuldeep for the 'kiddish' appeal, while Rohit, in his usual manner, showed his disbelief and was left laughing. Kuldeep could only smile at their reactions.
