Hitting six sixes in an over is no easy feat. But, somehow it is happening very frequently of late. In a T10 game in Pondicherry, a 15-year-old smashed six sixes in an over showcasing his big-hitting skills repeating the feats achieved by greats like Yuvraj Singh, Herschelle Gibbs, Ravi Shastri and Kieron Pollard.

In a clash between Patriots and Royals, Pandey not only hit six consecutive sixes but contributed to the unsuccessful run chase with a blinding 19-ball 83.

Nitesh Kumar turned out to be the unlucky bowler who felt the brunt of Pandey’s bat. He bowled a wide delivery in the over as well, making it a 37-run over. In his first over, Nitesh had conceded just 10 runs, which is considered a decent over in T10 format.

Pandey's 83-run knock included 12 sixes and just two fours. He batted at a stupendous strike rate of 436. Earlier, he reached his half-century off just 11 deliveries, even faster than Yuvraj Singh’s half-century against England in inaugural T20 World Cup 2007.

However, despite Pandey’s heroics Patriots fell short of the target and lost to Royals by four runs. The teen sensation got out in the penultimate over of the innings to Aravindaraj A.

He did not have much support from other batsmen. The second-highest run-scorer for the team was opener Jaya Surya Prabah who got retired out.

While Pandey fired for Patriots, Royals opener scored the bulk of runs for Patriots. R Ragupathy carried his bat after scoring 84 runs from 30 deliveries. His unbeaten 84-run knock included fours fours and 10 sixes. He also had support from opener Priyam Ashish who contributed with an 18-ball 30 cameo. Ragupathy stayed till the end and helped Royals post 157/3.
