The 23-year-old maintained an impressive average of 27.59 and an economy rate of 6.57.

Coetzee was considered a strong contender for the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2023, thanks to his consistently impressive performances across formats. The 23-year-old right-arm pacer marked his international debut in March 2023 and went on to claim 47 wickets in 24 innings throughout the year.
