India's Manav Suthar continues his red-hot form in the red-ball cricket, as he recorded another five-wicket haul just days after making a stunning debut for team India in the one-off Test match against Afghanistan. The left-arm spinner has managed to record five-wicket haul while playing for Warwickshire against Somerset in England's County Championship.

Manav Suthar's dominance in County Championship

Suthar, who was signed by the Bears on a two-game deal, endured a fabulous outing with the ball, as he finished the game with seven wickets. The left-arm spinner took five wickets by giving 100 runs from 46.5 overs. In the first innings, Suthar managed to pick two wickets for 50 runs in 18 overs.

Suthar, who made his Test debut for India earlier this month will end his short stint with Warwickshire on a high note, clinching 11 wickets from two matches. Notably, He picked up four wickets on his debut for Warwickshire against Yorkshire.

How did Manav Suthar clinch his five-wicket haul?

In the County clash, Somerset were bundled out for just 20 in their first innings, with Australa's Beau Webster clinching four wickets for 23 runs. In that inning, Suthar managed to contribute with two wickets.

However, Somerset replied with strong performance in the second innings, amassing 435 runs. This came despite Suthar clinching early wickets to reduce them to 148 for 6 at one stage.

Suthar arrived in style by dismissing Jordan Hermann for 34, with the batter holding out in the deep while attempting a slog sweep. He then removed Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who was beaten in flight.

Josh Shaw, promoted as the nightwatchman, battled hard with his knock of 22 runs before Suthar dismissed him. Shaw's resistance came to an end when he tried to push the ball and nicked the ball to the slip fielders. The left-arm spinner then finished the innings by cleaning up the lower order.
