Suryakumar’s form has been a concern for past year and a half. Meanwhile, Suryakumar’s inconsistent run carried forward to the ongoing T20 Mumbai 2026, a state franchise T20 league. Leading Triumphs Knights MNE on June 4 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, Suryakumar walked out to bat at no.4 and was dismissed for a single-digit score.

This was Triumphs Knights’ second defeat of the ongoing edition. In their first game, Suryakumar contributed with an 11-ball 19 cameo. Goel's 56-ball 93 wasn't enough in the run chase as Triumphs Knights lost by 21 runs to Ajinkya Rahane's North Mumbai Panthers.
