Babar Azam will now feature in upcoming Test series against England

Pakistan legendary batter Zaheer Abbas reckoned that Babar Azam should be dropped from the national team citing his performance in international cricket.

Abbas, known as the "Asian Bradman" for his legendary batting prowess, voiced his opinion at the Cricket Predicta Conclave in Ajman, UAE, during the celebration of the international cricket talk show’s hundredth episode.

"Babar Azam should be dropped from the team," Abbas said at the event. "If he's not scoring runs, because if he's our main batsman and he's out of form, he should be out of the team."

Babar Azam is going through a rough patch in his career as the white ball captain. He last smashed a century in August 2023 in an ODI match against Nepal during the Asia Cup 2023.

He recently featured for Pakistan in the two Test match series against Bangladesh under Shan Masood's captaincy where he just scored 64 runs in four innings. After team's poor show Bangladesh managed to get their maiden Test series win against the Men in Green.

Babar Azam's last domestic outing was in Champions Cup where the batter was looking confident. He ended the tournament as fourth-highest run-getter scoring 230 runs in four outings with a high score of 104 not-out.
