The Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) on April 21 announced the list of centrally contracted players for the 2024-25 season. Four players are in Grade A+, six in Grade A, five in Grade B whereas the remaining 19 have been handed Grade C contracts.
India's highest run-scorer in ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Shreyas Iyer has been given a Grade B contract. Ishan Kishan has made a comeback and earned a Grade C contract. Both the players were dropped from the list last season for failing to turn up for their domestic team.
One promotion, four ommissions, multiple inclusions
Pant has been promoted to 'A' category. Ravichandran Ashwin is missing from the list as he retired from international cricket last year on Australia tour. The four notable omissions from the list are Jitesh Sharma, KS Bharat, Avesh Khan and Shardul Thaour. The new additions in the 'C' category are Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana.
