The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on June 9 announced the update schedule for India men's team home series Test against West Indies, South Africa, India women's home ODI series against Australia and India A men's home series against South Africa A this year.
ODI series against Australia moves from South to North
Earlier, India women's team was expected to take on Australia in three-ODI series at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Now, the first two ODIs will be played at New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh (Mullanpur) on September 14 and 17. The third and the final ODI on September 20 will be hosted at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. This has been done because of the revamping of outfield and pitches at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Change in South Africa A One-Day series
Then, the South Africa A team was scheduled to play two unofficial Tests and three unofficial ODIs at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. While the red-ball series will be in Bengaluru, the One-Day series has been shifted to Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot.
Switch of venues for West Indies and South Africa Tests
Later this year, South Africa senior men's team will tour India as well. Before that the two-Test series against West Indies will begin on October 10. The second Test was scheduled to be held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Now, it will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. On the other hand, the first Test against South Africa has been shifted from Delhi to Kolkata. The second Test between India and South Africa will begin on November 14.
