The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on August 27 announced India’s squad for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. The 15-member squad includes Shreyanka Patil and Yastika Bhatia who are are yet to regain full fitness and their participation is subject to fitness.

Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (wk), Yastika Bhatia (wk), Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, Renuka Singh Thakur, Dayalan Hemalatha, Asha Sobhana, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil and Sajana Sajeevan
Travelling reserves - Uma Chetry (wk), Tanuja Kanwer, Saima Thakor
Two non-travelling reserves have been named as well. Raghvi Bist and Priya Mishra who were part of India A's tour of Australia will be on standby.
Raghvi scored three consecutive half-centuries in the One-Day series against Australia A. On the other hand, Priya bagged a five-wicket haul for just 14 runs helping India A bowl out Australia A for 72. The 171-run win is India A's only win on the tour across formats.
Injured players' statistics
Yastika injured her hamstring during the series against Bangladesh in April 2024. She is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) competing her rehabilitation.
She has scored 214 runs from 14 innings so far with a high score of 36. Her strike rate in T20Is is 88.42.
Shreyanka sustained an injury on the fourth finger of her left hand. She got injured while taking former Pakistan captain Nida Dar's catch in Asia Cup 2024.
Shreyanka has 16 wickets to her name from 12 games since making her debut in December 2023. She was also the highest wicket-taker for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024-winning campaign.
India's schedule for T20 World Cup 2024
The much-awaited clash against arch-rivals Pakistan led by Fatima Sana will take place on October 6. Three days later, India will face Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka led by Chamari Athapaththu. India's last group stage game is against defending champions Australia led by Alyssa Healy at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on October 13.
