BCCI announces India A squad for ODI tri-series in SL, Tilak to lead side; Sooryavanshi, PBKS star included

India A's squad for Tri-series in Sri Lanka revealed

Mumbai Indians' star batter Tilak Varma will be seen leading the India A's pack. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag will be Tilak's deputy. Another Rajasthan Royals' star in Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also been included in India A's squad. Punjab Kings' star openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya too have been rewarded for their batting blitz in IPL 2026.

Kumar Kushagra joins the India A squad as the second wicketkeeper-batter, providing depth behind the stumps. He is supported by a robust pace battery consisting of Anshul Kamboj, Yash Thakur, Yudhvir Singh Charak, and Arshad Khan, who will lead the team's seam attack.

The squad also boasts significant versatility in the slow-bowling department, featuring five specialized spin-bowling all-rounders: Harsh Dubey, Vipraj Nigam, Nishant Sindhu, Ayush Badoni, and Suryansh Shedge. This group, complemented by the all-round capabilities of Tilak Varma and Riyan Parag, gives the side a wealth of options in the middle overs.

The tri-series will see India A, Sri Lanka A, and Afghanistan A locking horns with each other. Right after the ODI tri-series, India A will take on Sri Lanka A for multi-day matches. Meanwhile, India A's squad for the red-ball matches will be announced soon.

Dambulla will host the white-ball series, while Galle will stage the the multi-day matches.
