The Board of Control for Cricket in India or BCCI is likely to exclude star players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah from the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka which will include three T20Is and ODIs. They have taken this step in order to give their players more rest before the home season. This means fans will have to wait a little longer to see the return of their favourite cricketers.
BCCI wants to give Rohit, Virat, and Bumrah rest
The tour of Sri Lanka is likely to start from July 27 to August 7 and will include three T20Is and ODIs. As Rohit and Virat have announced retirement they will not be part of the shortest format of the game. However, Bumrah will continue to play T20Is as well but despite this none of them will feature in the Sri Lanka tour. BCCI wants these senior players to have some good rest before making their much-awaited return for a full season in September when Bangladesh comes to India for two Tests and three T20Is starting on September 19.
