BCCI secretary Jay Shah penned down a heartfelt note for ex-Indian head coach Rahul Dravid minutes before announcing Gautam Gambhir as his successor for the position of Indian head coach. He thanked Dravid for all his contributions during his tenure with the Men in Blue side which came to an end with them winning the prestigious T20 World Cup 2024 title and ending the 11-year-long trophy drought.

Jay Shah confirms Gautam Gambhir's appointment as Indian head coach
After months of rumours floating around, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has finally confirmed Gautam Gambhir as the new Indian head coach. He will be taking over the office as Rahul Dravid's successor from the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka tour.

Modern-day cricket has evolved rapidly, and Gautam has witnessed this changing landscape up close. Having endured the grind and excelled in various roles throughout his career, I am confident that Gautam is the ideal person to steer Indian Cricket forward.
