Big News: India's World Cup hero Gautam Gambhir set to return to cricket field after four years

Former India skipper and 2011 World Cup hero Gautam Gambhir is set to return to cricket field after four years as he will featuring in the upcoming second edition of Legends League Cricket (LLC).

 

"I am glad to share that I have committed to take part in the upcoming Legends League Cricket from September 17th onwards. I am excited in anticipation of being on a cricket field once again. It will be a privilege and an honour to rub shoulders once again with the glitterati of world cricket," said Gambhir in an official release.

 

LLC is slated to be played from September 17, 2022, where four teams in franchise format will be competing and players from across 10 foreign countries will be participating. However, overall 15 matches will be played in this season.

 

players like Ross Taylor (New Zealand), Lance Klusener (South Africa) and Morne Morkel (South Africa) were announced as participants in the second season. In the previous weeks, the league added iconic and legendary players like Mohd Kaif, Brett Lee, Dale Steyn, Jacques Kallis, Virender Sehwag, Shane Watson, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Muralitharan, R P Singh, S. Badrinath and Stuart Binny.

 

Previously, Stalwarts like Harbhajan Singh (India), Eoin Morgan (England), Mitchell Johnson (Australia) joined the League.

 

South African icons like Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn will also be seen playing in the second edition of the Legends League Cricket.
