It's been over a month since Team India suffered an unceremonious exit from the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia but the pain still haunts Indian cricket fans. The Men in Blue exited the ICC tournament after suffering an embarrassing 10-wicket defeat in the semi-final against eventual champions England. Since the T20 World Cup debacle, Indian players, captain Rohit Sharma, coach Rahul Dravid and even the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have received loads of criticism from the fans, and rightly so.
Now, Sports Tak has learned that the Indian cricket board will hold a review meeting with Rohit and Dravid on the T20 World Cup disaster. National Cricket Academy chief VVS Laxman will also be part of the review meeting called by the BCCI.
The meeting will be held on January 01 (Sunday) in Mumbai, two days before India's home white-ball series kicks off against Sri Lanka.
Team India will first play a three-match T20I series against the Island nation and Hardik Pandya will lead the Men in Blue in the shortest format as Rohit was declared unfit for the T20I series.
