Australia's star all-rounder Cameron Green has confirmed that he will be available to bowl in IPL 2026. Green said that it was a "stuff-up" on his manager to list him as a batter instead of an all-rounder for the auction which is scheduled to start on December 16.
Green did not register for the mega auction as he underwent back surgery. He returned to action as a specialist batter. A few months later, he was cleared to bowl. He has been bowling in the ongoing Ashes series as well.
"I'll be good to bowl," Green said prior to Australia's training session in Adelaide on December 14 morning. "I don't know if my manager would like to hear this, but there was a stuff-up on his end. He didn't mean to say 'batter'. I think he accidentally selected the wrong box. It was pretty funny how it's all played out, but it was actually a stuff-up on his end."

Green has opted for the highest base price of Rs 2 crore. He is expected to start an intense bidding war early in the auction.
"I'm sure I will be [watching], with a few other guys. They're always good fun to watch. It's a bit of a lottery where you might go, but also who might be in your team, so it's always been fun to watch," the all-rounder said.
Franchise Green has represented in IPL
Earlier, the 26-year-old had represented Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2023 where he scored 452 runs at an average of 50.22. He scored a 47-ball ton as well. For the next edition, he was traded to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He scored 255 runs from 12 innings at an average of 31.87. He has a total of 16 wickets.
Why Green won’t get beyond Rs 18 crore?
Green may end up becoming the most expensive player in IPL auction history. But, he won’t get more than Rs 18 crore, courtesy the new maximum fee rule for players missing the mega auction.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are highly likely to go all out for him having released Andre Russell. KKR go into the auction with the heaviest purse at Rs 64.30 crore.
