India’s former captain MS Dhoni celebrates his 41st birthday on July 7, 2022. The wicketkeeper-batter led India to victories in the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup (2007), ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy (2013). He is the only captain in cricketing history to win each and every ICC trophy.
Indian Cricket saw its peak during Dhoni’s leadership. Before captaining India, the right-handed batter had established himself as an explosive middle-order batter. Over a period of time, he adapted to the role of finisher for the team and never looked back. He is regarded as the best finisher in the world.
The Ranchi-based star was named ‘Captain Cool’ for his extraordinary skills of always being calm. His ability to be calm took India across the line in many high-pressure games.
Dhoni is widely remembered especially for his knock in the 2011 World Cup final, which won the match for India as the Men in Blue lifted the trophy after 28 years. He finished the game in style with a gigantic six that is etched in the hearts and minds of every Indian cricket fan.
On the occasion of his 41st birthday, many stars took social media to pour birthday wishes on M.S.Dhoni.
Virat Kohli, who has always been backed by the former Indian captain, thanked and wished the legend. He was joined by Ajinkya Rahane, Hardik Pandya, and Dinesh Karthik, among the current Indian internationals:
Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh, who was also a member of the World Cup-winning team, added his adulations along with his close friend Suresh Raina, among others. (also add Sehwag, Ishant Sharma, and Kaif)
Joining the Indian players was Afghanistan's spin maestro Rashid Khan:
Meanwhile, his Indian Premier League (IPL) side Chennai Super Kings (CSK) created a montage of wishes from his teammates.
