In a series of concerning events, fresh uncertainty has emerged over India's upcoming white-ball tour of Bangladesh, with BCB president Tamim Iqbal signalling that the series could endure another delay. According to a latest report by Cricinfo, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) stays in contact with the BCCI over the proposed tour, which had already been pushed back from August last year to September 2026.
India vs Bangladesh ODI series in limbo?
Earlier in January, the BCB revealed plans to host the Men in Blue for three ODIs and as many T20Is across Dhaka and Chattogram. However, with the BCCI yet to confirm the fixtures, the scheduled of the tour remains uncertain.

With the first ODI slated to be played on September 3, less than two weeks remain before the proposed start of the series. However, the report suggests that there is still no clarity over whether India's tour will start according to the existing window.
However, Tamim unveiled the Game Development Trophy during a press conference in Dhaka, introducing a new competition for age-group cricketers. The BCB also confirmed the fixtures for the competition, which will run from August 28 to September 9, with every game set to take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Tamim Iqbal sheds light on possibility
On being asked if the dates of the newly announced tournament were a sign that India's Bangladesh tour might not take place as decided, Tamim claimed that adjustments could be on the cards. The BCB president acknowledged the possibility of a slight change to the existing schedule, raising further questions over the dates of the India series.
"Both boards remain in discussions about the India series. The dates may be shifted here or there. This tournament is being held in Mirpur, but it can be shifted to the Basundhara Ground in two minutes. If the India series is locked in and confirmed, we will schedule it accordingly," said Tamim Iqbal to Cricinfo.
