India have tasted immense success in recent times

In the recent history, India's tours to Australia have been remarkably successful, with India clinching series victories on their last two visits, specifically during the 2018-19 and 2020-21 seasons. The 2020 tour was particularly memorable for the dramatic turnaround by the Indian team following their collapse to 36 all out.

Despite this setback, India showcased resilience and determination, winning two of the subsequent three Test matches. A historic victory at the Gabba was the highlight, where India ended Australia's 32-year unbeaten streak at the venue, marking a significant achievement in Indian cricket history.

Australia are WTC winners

The rivalry took a different turn last year when Australia emerged victorious over India in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. The Australian squad outclassed India, displaying superior skill and strategy throughout the match. Currently, the standings in the WTC points table see India leading, with Australia closely trailing behind.
