Ahead of India's tour of Australia, Sai Sudharsan is making all the right noises. Sai spearheaded India's defense in their maiden unofficial Test match against Australia A in MacKay while batting for India A. produced a solidly constructed hundred in the second innings. In difficult circumstances, Sai Sudharsan scored his seven first-class hundreds to lead India A in scoring. On Day 3, Indai reached a total of over 300 and extended their advantage above 200 runs thanks to Sai's 103 and Devdutt Padikkal's 88.

On the morning of Day 3, Sai Sudharsan celebrated his century. He quickly singled against off-spinner Todd Murphy to reach the milestone—his maiden hundred on Australian soil.

Following a 196-run stand for the third wicket, India A saw a mini-collapse when the off-spinner bowled Sai Sudharsan for 103. In consecutive overs, Murphy removed Sai and Devdutt, reducing India A's score from 226 for 2 to 256 for 5. In the second innings, India A's all-rounder Nitish Reddy (17), middle-order batsman Baba Indrajith (6), and Ishan Kishan (32) were unable to turn their beginnings into significant runs. India A fought back with the ball earlier in the Test thanks to a spectacular six-wicket haul from Mukesh Kumar.

As India searches for backups for the top-order positions, Sai Sudharsan's outstanding play is sure to be noted. Sai may be requested to remain in Australia from November 22 onwards for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Abhimanyu Easwaran was selected by India as the backup opener, but the Bengal player was unsuccessful in both innings of the first unofficial Test match in MacKay.

In the past three months, Sai Sudharsan has amassed up to three hundred in first-class cricket across three separate nations.
