Duleep Trophy 2024: Ishan Kishan's ton help Ruturaj Gaikwad-led India C score 357 runs against India B

Ishan Kishan made a sudden entry on the first day of the second round of the Duleep Trophy 2024-25 season and showed the power of the bat by scoring a century. Ishan Kishan, who has been away from red-ball cricket for India for a long time, played an innings of 111 runs in 126 balls with 14 fours and three sixes. Due to this India-C, captained by Rituraj Gaikwad, has tightened the grip on India-B by scoring 357 runs for five wickets by the end of the first day.


Ishan Kishan smashed a century

 

India-B captain Abhimanyu Easwaran won the toss and decided to bowl first at Anantapur ground. In response, India-C captain Rituraj Gaikwad retired hurt after scoring four runs and left the field. But as soon as India-C lost its second wicket in the form of Sai Sudarshan (43 runs) at the score of 97 runs. After that Ishan Kishan came to bat and he shared a 189-run partnership for the third wicket with Baba Indrajit. With which India-C made a comeback and Ishan Kishan scored 111 runs in 126 balls with 14 fours and three sixes.

Gaikwad returned unbeaten on 46 runs

 

Rituraj Gaikwad, who retired hurt after Ishan Kishan, returned to the field and then no bowler could get him out till the end of the day. After Ishan's dismissal, Baba Indrajit got out after scoring 78 runs from 136 balls with nine fours. After this, Abhishek Porel (12) also got out early. But Gaikwad, who batted from the other end, played an innings of 46 runs from 50 balls with seven fours and two sixes till the end of the first day. While Manav Suthar returned unbeaten after scoring eight runs in 11 balls. Due to this India-C scored a total of 357 runs for five wickets in 79 overs. Now the India-C team would like to strengthen its grip in the match against India-B by scoring a huge score.
