England have announced their T20I squad for the series against India which will be held in January 2025. Both England and India will play a five-match T20I series, slated to kick off from January 22.
England announce T20I squad for series against India
The England team is set to depart for India on January 17 for the ODI and T20I series. Notable Kolkata will stage the T20I series opener. The remaining T20I matches in the series will be hosted in Chennai, Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai.
Following the T20I series, England will play a three-match ODI series in India, starting on February 6 in Nagpur, which will serve as crucial preparation for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

While Jos Buttler will continue to lead the England, they have also included star leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed, who has his roots in Pakistan, in the T20 squad. Rehan has so far played 10 T20Is for England and has picked 12 wickets at an economy rate of 9.67.
It will also be Brendon McCullum's first task with the England team as their white-ball head coach.

England, have also announced ODI squads for their series against India. Joe Root has been recalled to the England national white-ball squad after a hiatus of over a year. His last appearance in an ODI was during the World Cup match against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata back in November 2023.
