Former India wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat has relocated his base to Dubai in the search of new opportunities in the UAE cricketing setup. The 31-year-old, who represented India in seven Test games, is looking to explore avenues that could make him continue his journey as a professional cricketer in the region.
KS Bharat looking for new cricketing opportunities
As per a latest report by Cricbuzz, which quoted an Emirates cricket official, the former India cricketer who took retirement from the international setup, is searching for both short-term and long-term opportunities in the Middle Eastern country.

According to the source, like many cricketers across the world KS Bharat is also looking for both short-term and long-term opportunities in the country. The report further adds that the wicketkeeper-batter could be exploring his chances in the International League T20 (ILT20), which is the premier T20 competition of the UAE.
How KS Bharat has fared for India?
KS Bharat earned his maiden India cap in the first Test against Australia at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on February 9, 2023. He got bat at No.8 in his maiden outing, where he managed to amass eight runs off 10 deliveries.
However, the wicketkeeper-batter could not prolong his international career, as he was not impressive with the bat in big games. The Andhra batter amassed only 221 runs in 12 innings at an average of 20.1 with a strike rate of 53.0. Bharat could not register a single fifty plus score for the Indian team in Tests.
KS Bharat's record in IPL
The former Indian wicket keeper-batter represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC). Major chunk of his IPL career came for RCB, where he played eight matches in the 2021 season and managed to gather 191 runs in seven innings. Overall, he finished his IPL stint with a total of 199 runs at an average of 28.43 and a best score of unbeaten 78.
