Zaheer Khan revealed LSG's problems in IPL 2024.

India's World Cup-winning pacer Zaheer Khan has been appointed as the new mentor of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of IPL 2025. Zaheer Khan is now fully prepared to replace Gautam Gambhir, who has become the head coach of Team India. Gambhir left the LSG in ahead of IPL 2024 to join defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders. Zaheer will now work with LSG's head coach Justin Langer and assistant coaches Lance Klusener and Adam Voges.

In the exclusive conversation with Sports Tak, Zaheer Khan revealed that the team had problems with middle order and injury.

The team had problems of middle order and injury

Zaheer Khan said that sometimes you miss out as a team. Last season, we saw the problem of middle order in the Lucknow team. At the same time, Mayank Yadav also got injured. He did not get to play many matches. The team will have to do well in many things and all this will happen only by talking.

The team will have to trust itself

Zaheer further said that the most important thing for any team is to trust itself and cricket is a team game. One good or 4 good players cannot win you the match. But you have to come here as a team. My funda is that you just have to focus on the match. Stay in the present, support yourself and play the match. You have to believe in the process. These are the things that make you better.

Zaheer Khan further said that IPL is becoming more difficult every year. You have to maintain momentum. When you run a long race, you cannot think. You have to move with focus. You have to go on every step. And I will play like this. You have to play the first match not as a final but as a way to get better.
