India and Pakistan have one of the oldest and most intense rivalries in cricket.

Pakistan legendary speedster Shoaib Akhtar lavished praise on former India captain Sourav Ganguly after the India batter recalled his pacer and accuracy during his playing days in the promo of Netflix's 'the greatest rivalry'. Netflix is set to release a new documentary featuring the iconic cricketing showdown between India and Pakistan which will premiere on February 7, the series will take a deep dive into one of the sport's most intense rivalries. Netflix shared a 2-minute 13-second promo video on January 29 (Wednesday) featuring legendary cricketers from both nations, including Sunil Gavaskar, Virender Sehwag, Shoaib Akhtar, Sourav Ganguly, and Shikhar Dhawan, as they discuss the unmatched passion surrounding India vs Pakistan clashes.

Akhtar who was recently in Dubai for ILT20, took his 'X' formerly known as Twitter to react to Ganguly's comments about his bowling in the promo.

"Friendship tour was a name, but it takes 150 km per hour to Sohaib Akhtar. Where is the friendship in that?" said Ganguly in a video.

"Dada Sourav Ganguly, you're awesome. Indian cricket is incomplete without you" responded Akhtar.

Both Ganguly and Akhtar played 22 innings each other where the India batter scored 172 runs and the Pakistan speedster got him out seven times. During their playing days, the Asian Giants used to play bilateral series against each other but after Mumbai attacked the government put an end to sending Indian players to the neighbouring nation.
