India's Asia Cup hero Abhisek Sharma, who sacrificed his sister's wedding to feature against Australia A, has again failed to perform in the third ODI, taking place at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.  After being asked to bat, the southpaw was dismissed after scoring 22 runs, dismissed by Todd Murphy in the 12th over. 

Earlier in the second ODI, he got dismissed on a golden duck by Jack Edwards. Notably, this is the first time Abhishek is featuring in the ODI cricket. The batter managed to score 22 runs in the two unofficial ODIs; later, he missed the first ODI due to Asia Cup 2025 duties. 

Coming back to the match, Prabhsimran Singh smashed 102 runs in the third ODI that helped India shift the momentum of the game. While writing this copy, skipper Shreyas Iyer smashed a fifty and Riyan Parag is playing on 42 runs. India needs 69 runs to win this clash.

Abhishek Sharma's performance in the Asia Cup 2025

Abhishek Sharma played a crucial role in the Suryakumar Yadav-led India, where he was the highest run-getter in the tournament, scoring 314 runs in seven innings. He averaged 44.85 and struck at a jaw-dropping 200, also earning the Player of the Series award.
